THE PRICE
FAMILY DRAMA TACKLES TIMELESS THEMES
Estranged brothers rummage through their family’s antique furniture – and their own pasts – in this Arthur Miller classic from 1968. Victor and Walter Franz’s businessman father retreated to an attic apartment in Manhattan after losing everything in the Great Crash of 1929. Now, years after his death, the brothers return to sell the mountain of antique cabinets, chests and couches stored there. Arthur Miller’s family drama ties in with today’s recession-hit days – and is as much about the price of one’s decisions, as about the price of furniture.

ARSENIC AND OLD LACE
GRAVE EVENTS IN THE CELLAR!
The spinster Brewster sisters appear to be respectable pillars of Brooklyn society – but have a secret penchant for poisoning elderly male callers with home-made elderberry wine in order to end their loneliness! The ladies are the aunts of drama critic Mortimer Brewster, who also has one brother who digs convenient holes in the cellar, and another whose murderous activities have led him to undergo plastic surgery – from Dr Einstein – to conceal his identity. Joseph Kesselring’s farcical black comedy has enjoyed huge popularity since it was written in 1939.
