MAKE A DONATION

What is a Donation and Why do we need it?

Think of the word ‘donating’ and the first thing that comes to mind is money but that is not always the case. Without our loyal and dedicated volunteers and our actors who freely support us with so much of their time the Maddermarket Theatre would not exist so the ‘donation’ of your time and commitment can be as vital to our future as a monetary donation.

We recognise and thank those people who cannot devote time to the theatre but would like to help us by donating money.

The Maddermarket Theatre is a charitable trust and receives no on-going funding although in 2012 we were grateful to receive a small grant from Norwich City Council towards our Education Department. All the monies we make stay in the theatre.

Our aim is to produce theatre that offers a wide variety within the programme, that brings new plays, challenging plays and often plays that go directly to the heart of social issues so often never openly discussed.
We also support a fantastic Education Department (The Mad Red Theatre Company) that offers youngsters the best possible start and support in their drama aspirations and for the older generation (our Silver Stagers group) we offer a unique opportunity to meet new friends and develop new skills.

Finally we have to run the theatre to the satisfaction of every single visitor and maintain a Grade II listed building all of which costs a great deal of money so your donations are vital.

You may simply make us a donation and if you are a UK tax payer, completion of a Gift Aid form will allow us to claim a further £2.50 on every £10 donated from the Government. Download a Gift Aid Form here.
