Open to all with an interest in performance and self development. Benefits include enhanced theatrical skills, increased confidence and self-esteem, advancements in communication and social skills.
Classes take the form of ten week terms or weekend workshops and attract people of all ages, backgrounds and levels of experience.

Evening Classes
Voice and Theatre – £45.00
Wednesdays 2nd May – 11th July, 2007 7.30-9.30pm
Beginners & intermediates.
The ‘Voice-Well’ is a series of ‘explorations’ suitable for anybody who wishes to explore their vocal resonance, range and power. These sessions are designed to improve and enhance vocal production, articulation and communication skills in speech and singing.
Workshop tutor Jennifer Hamilton trained as a singer and for the past twenty years has been teaching extensively in two of the major British conservatoires.
LAMDA Exam Classes – £65.00 (Please check availability before sending fee)
It may be possible to arrange a daytime class – please call if this is more convenient
LAMDA has been providing acting and speech examinations since 1880, and is the largest Speech and Drama Board in the United Kingdom and abroad.
Students are encouraged to enter for a variety of examinations such as The Speaking of Verse & Prose, Reading for Performance, Spoken English, Public Speaking, Devised, Mime and Acting, in order to develop a wide range of performance skills which will stand by them in all aspects of life.
The examination level and subject will be determined on the first day of term, and students will work on their presentation over the following 10 weeks.
Examination fees (set by LAMDA) can range from £18.00 to £40.00, depending on the subject and grade. This will be payable within the first few weeks of the term.
Since becoming QCA Approved, LAMDA Exams are being considered by UCAS and carry points (like GCSE's and A Levels) that are taken into consideration for Higher Education applications.

Evening Classes
Improvisation – £45.00
Mondays 3rd September - 12th November, 2007 7.30pm – 9.30pm
All levels. No experience necessary. Just bring energy, enthusiasm and a willingness to create.
A chance for participants to explore the different areas of improvisation, having fun, escaping inhibitions and gaining confidence. Discover the serious side of improvisation, search for truth, work from others, and develop focus.
Introduction to Drama & Performance – £45.00
Fridays 7th September – 16th November, 2007 7.30-9.30pm
This group is open to complete beginners and those who wish to ‘brush up’ their theatre skills. It is ideal for people wishing to develop communication & social skills team-work and confidence.
Participants will be introduced to a wide range of theatrical disciplines including – physical theatre, stage terminology and awareness, improvisation, movement, characterisation, voice, status and emotion.
Text will only be introduced towards the end of the term as it is first necessary to recognise the importance of play, trust and improvisation in theatrical training. After this introductory term it will be possible to focus on the individual disciplines in greater depth on our more advanced courses (in particular physical theatre and vocal development).
LAMDA Speech & Drama Examinations - £65.00
